In response to the desperate need for emergency shelter for single women over the age of 18 in Seattle, Noel House opened its doors in the winter of 1990 on the corner of 2nd Avenue & Bell Street.
Since then, the requests for assistance from women living on the streets of Seattle have pushed Noel House Programs to expand beyond the original 40-bed shelter to include a network of shelters and a Women's Referral Center.
